Giraffe - Paul.

                                   580 Meters.

The sound of never ending claping and water leaking tapping, all the giraffes walk on a never ending loop. They all suddnely stop to a giraffe that fell and gave up on walking a never ending spiral that was like passing a rugby ball. They kept walking and continueing the loop. All the giraffe's are alright and none of them know if it's day or night. They are in a place that looks modern and looks like a car park, the place where you'll lose a car like the giraffes lost  their 1 friend.

They reached the end, it was a door. They all ducked down and went through the door and then they found a way to go up, again it was another loop. They were going like a basketball going round and round on the rim of a hoop. And they kept walking and walking and walking..

Alma And Leila - Paul

                                                                         Alma & Leila

Alma waits and waits everyday. Everyday she hears the dolls’ eyes moving like hearing woodpeckers pecking wood and  the screams in her head also from other dolls asking for help, every day. But no one hears it. She wishes she never should've touched the doll.  She tries everyday to move, but a little little movement she makes everyday.  Alma is close to the edge.

After the wood pecking sounds and the  screams in her head suddenly all stop it was like they were all waiting for something in silence.  Two girls wrote their names  on the wall, a lot of names were on the wall. The girl's names were Leila and Samara,  but something unexpected happens, something that  lures  them to go near where all the dolls are.  It was two dolls that looked identical to Leila and Samara.

Everything was the same, their hair looked the same  and their eye colour was the same. Leila was confused and surprised and Samara was also confused. Leila opens the door to the shop and all the doll's eyes are moving telling her to run but Leila and Samara cannot hear the  noise. Leila walked slowly up to her doll and almost touched. Suddenly, another doll, on a bike, attempted to bring Samara to the door.

The dolls try to tell her to run away. Leila turns and sees Alma falling and tries to catch her before she breaks. She drops with a thud and a crack appears on her face. A lot of things were happening, the dolls’ eyes moving, the boy on a bike trying to tell Leila to run… and then Samara touched the doll.

Samara has turned into a doll.  Is there still  hope for Alma? Leila picks up Samara and Alma, well their dolls and decides to run away. The boy on the bike escapes with them but goes a different way. The crack on Alma’s plastic skin opens more while Leila runs back home, tears coming from Leila’s eyes like rain and sad screams like thunderstorms.

Aroha - Paul

 Aroha

Her hair blows in the wind, her free spirit flows letting the negativity go. Her name is Aroha meaning love.

But everyday is not a regular day, the screams in her head. The offensive  jokes that she cannot cope with but she always stay silent, sometimes silence is violence.  She's  forced to deal with what she feels. She drowns in sorrow some times Aroha want to die and never come back tommorow.

Aroha has a friend meetup, they all walk to their favourite spot, peaceful day with the birds singing, their free spirit flys like kites, they both shine bright and they share their light and the sun shine with teeth smiling white.

They all play around in the woods thinking of nothing but everything good. The wind sings with birds flapping their wings and the trees rustle a beat. Its like life is a song going through high notes and low notes with also a sad or happy end. The happy laughs from Aroha and her friends, they all forget about the bad things. Aroha overcomes her fears, and she also takes away the tears.

Restorative Justice

This is a piece of writing in the form of a diary entry.  We have been studying
Mophead, by Selina Tusitala, in Drama and wrote this piece in response to Selina’s
constant bullying at school.

Dear Diary,
Something  happened that flew  me off today in a Restorative Justice meeting or something like that. Only me, my parents, the mean bully and her parents were in the room as well. I saw something wrong with the bully she was shivering in fright, When the principal came in looking like she kidnapped someone. She looked mad. I got scared because my parents and the bully’s parents were there too.  The meeting went well. I felt joyful hoping I will never be judged again. I also felt sad even though she is mean her parents gave her a big growling.

The Hero- Paul

Boy wakes up in the hospital trying to focus his sight but all he sees is nothing but lights. Doctors rushing to get help. Boy sleeps again.

He wakes up still kinda buzzed out.
He sees his sister. He's happy he's okay and he sees his family and friends, some were crying in a joyful way. They say how brave he was to save his sister, he woke up as a hero.

The doctors put Bridger the boy to sleep again to stitch him up. Professional surgeons come and work on his broken face, they stitch him 90 times.

He wakes up happy. He said to his family “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.”

After hours in the hospital they go home in the car. The boy sees where he was attacked.  He tries to  forget about it.
They go inside and the mum takes pictures of the brother and sister. They post the story on social media

It goes viral.

What I found out about telegrams:
Telegrams were sent by an electrical telegraph person or telegrapher using Morse code, telegraphers or telegraphist were an operation to use Morse code to communicate.

The telegrams were made in the 1830s and 1840s by Samuel Morse. Telegrams were sent by a submarine telegraph  cables. In the United States, Western Union shut down its telegraph service in 2006. At the time, the company reported that only about 20,000 telegrams were sent in the previous year. Telegraphs were used to send  letters to people in olddays.Telegrapher | I found a box of lost negtives that included t… | Flickr

The Artifacts consisted of a black cape, bird nest/ nest necklace, padlock and key and very lastly a beautiful crown. Here is the article my group constructed around the artifact our group chose.

Steamship - Paul

                Steamship Station

Going to sleep as the people talking.  Babies crying wanting to go home back to Italy. I am shivering with nervousness , its my first time on a boat. Feeling someone's hard head on my shoulder. I feel sick from the sea. My nose is quickly plugged by the smell. I hear the clock tick.

I feel very sad, I am hungry. My stomach is rumbling with hunger. The quiet tears of an old lady disturbing my sleep. Hearing others snore very loud, I quickly blocked my ears with sadness.

                                                 My Group's Poem
I knew I wasn't the only on with blue skin,
there was another
I need to find a blue I have no clue,
I found a blue girl
She is blue and the only one i trust
I Feel Happy.
-Paul, Giselle, Asinate, Kena And Aleenah.

The Real Poem
She Had Blue Skin
And so did he.
He kept it hid
and so did she
They searched for blue.
Their whole life through
Then passed right by---
And Never Knew.

First week

My First  Week In Room 8

My first week was very nervous and fun.  I really had fun getting to know my classmates well and studying with them.  The new teacher, Mrs George is funny and helpful. Getting with the new class was very shy and weird because the class was different and smaller also the classmates are really tall. I am starting to get comfortable with the new classmates and the class. The new people are very kind, helpful and funny. I am hoping my year with new classmates will be very fun and cool. In our  week we learned about the coronavirus, art, about who you are and also math(addition). I am willing to make this year a great year.
