Alma & Leila
Alma waits and waits everyday. Everyday she hears the dolls’ eyes moving like hearing woodpeckers pecking wood and the screams in her head also from other dolls asking for help, every day. But no one hears it. She wishes she never should've touched the doll. She tries everyday to move, but a little little movement she makes everyday. Alma is close to the edge.
After the wood pecking sounds and the screams in her head suddenly all stop it was like they were all waiting for something in silence. Two girls wrote their names on the wall, a lot of names were on the wall. The girl's names were Leila and Samara, but something unexpected happens, something that lures them to go near where all the dolls are. It was two dolls that looked identical to Leila and Samara.
Everything was the same, their hair looked the same and their eye colour was the same. Leila was confused and surprised and Samara was also confused. Leila opens the door to the shop and all the doll's eyes are moving telling her to run but Leila and Samara cannot hear the noise. Leila walked slowly up to her doll and almost touched. Suddenly, another doll, on a bike, attempted to bring Samara to the door.
The dolls try to tell her to run away. Leila turns and sees Alma falling and tries to catch her before she breaks. She drops with a thud and a crack appears on her face. A lot of things were happening, the dolls’ eyes moving, the boy on a bike trying to tell Leila to run… and then Samara touched the doll.
Samara has turned into a doll. Is there still hope for Alma? Leila picks up Samara and Alma, well their dolls and decides to run away. The boy on the bike escapes with them but goes a different way. The crack on Alma’s plastic skin opens more while Leila runs back home, tears coming from Leila’s eyes like rain and sad screams like thunderstorms.
