Tupaia's Most Famous Drawing



This drawing is a copy of a drawing was done by Tupaia, (Date Unknown). Probably done in Uawa. This drawing is about a Maori trading crayfish to Joseph Banks for a white tapa cloth. During Tupaia's time navigating

Tupaia was a Polynesian navigator and arioi (A priest kind of). He was born in 1725, in Raiatea, French Polynesia. (Date Unknown) and died in 11th of  November, 1770 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

He was a special man. While he was alive and still a navigator he used the stars to guide him on his journey. Tupaia joined James Cook's first voyage. 

James Cook was  a British explorer, navigator, cartographer, and captain in the British Royal Navy. James cook was born in 7 November 1728 in the UK and died 14th of
